DACA

DACA is constructing a new laboratory and office building at it’s head quarters. The constru ction is scheduled to be completed in two years. Upon completion the DACA's Drug Quality control and toxicology laboratory will move to the new building. DACA envisages to be a Competent Drug Regulatory Authority in the Region.

Drug Administration and Control Authority of Ethiopia is a federal agency established by Proclamation No. 176/99. The Authority became operational as of September 2001 G.C.

We aspire to see a drug administration and control system which is highly trusted and respected by the public and to be the center of excellence in Africa by 2015.

Mission
To promote and protect public and animal health by ensuring the safety, efficacy, and quality as well as the proper use of the drugs that are made available in the country.
