different categories of health personnel, particularly to

The Formularies aim to

medicines. And hence the central goal of the formulary is to
help prescribers in the appropriate choice of treatment and
to make prescribers follow uniform choice of treatment.
The drug formularies are
an extended version of drug list, which offers information
on the drugs. These formulary are prepared based on the
lists of drugs developed by Drug Administration and Control
Authority for Health Centers and District hospitals,
respectively.
Drugs that are generally
prescribed at Health center or district hospital level are
included and hence the formulary provides ready access to
key information on the selection, prescribing, dispensing
and administration of medicines available at District
Hospital level and below it.
