The pesticide laboratory has the
responsibility to perform pesticide quality control and
residue tests of pesticide and different types of
agricultural products and non agricultural samples. Samples
are analyzed using pesticidal as well as physico-chemical
techniques and parameters. Specifications are based on
FAO-WHO Pesticide specification and requirements set under
the standard approved by DACA with the official CIPAC, AOAC
and validated manufacturer methods.
The pesticide division has two units

Activities
The Pesticide division is carrying out

tests on public health pesticides

Tests on household pesticides

Tests on pesticides for
animal health purposes
Quality control tests on public health
pesticides that are used for vector control (like DDT and
Malathion) and residue testes on pesticides are on the
process to be started.
